I'm looking at purchasing a Horizon Stalker 400, with minn kota & Sounder/GPS etc.

I fish in the South Port Broadwater, Brisbane River/River Mouth, Currumbin Creek and Pumicstone Passage with my father-in-law....is this boat a good choice for those places/similar locations?

I fish lures & plastics for Flathead, Jacks, Tailor, Bream & Whiting.

Any feedback please feel free. My budget is $20,000. ;D

Thanks, Jay

Consider also Bluefin if your spending that sort of coin for a 4m tinny.

If your buying new then you should consider all options. I would have a serious look at the Polycraft range - they have a lot of advantages over tinnies.

Look at the polycraft range, that is option number 2.

for $20k I would be looking at more than a 4m boat
A well set up second hand tinnie are going for a lot less than $20
If your are fishing the Goldie a bit a decent tinnie will get you to the close reefs off the Goldie and the Tweed

I'm looking at brand new.

I have quoted $18,900 for boat, trailer, 40HP Suzuki motor, humminbird 788cxi & minn kota with autopilot & remote.

I'll be many fishing with the mrs or father-in-law. 2 ppl in boat at one time.

I'm not concerned about getting out to the reefs as i can go in the father-in-laws V-Sea.

Before you do anything ring Brisbane Yamaha they are the leading dealer in Qld for this product and they will bea able to do a better deal than the guy down south due to there buying power advantage they have. Also talk to the boys at stones about the sea jay range they will look after you.
