any long tails been caught in the bay lately?

saw what looked to be small numbers of LT's in 2 separate sightings a couple of weeks ago, one out on the Spitfire Banks, and the other out a bit wide of the redcliffe jetty.

Just curious if anyone has been catching them or heard of them being caught yet?

cheers

Mick

Hi Mick,

We've seen them across the northern bay over the last couple of weeks in the places you mentioned and right the way across to Tangalooma.

No big pods, just 2's and 3's and mixed in with Mack Tuna.

I had one hit a cast 4" gulp jerk shad and had it on for ten minutes before I let the braid touch the boat and you know the rest.

What a buzz, though.

The bait they're chasing is tiny, 2" maximum.

Good hunting,

Mark
