G'day guy's i have ordered my new boat trailer today through belco 6m skid trailer c section dual axle jobby.

I Was speaking to james about what extra's i wanted and there was a option to have DURA HUBS (OIL HUBS) at $90 dollars a pair so being dual axle $180 bucks is quite alot of coin for what they are i thought.

I have had the normal bearing buddies on my trailer that i have now for the last five years and never had a problem only changing them when i first bought the boat so they have pretty much been in there for five years doing regular trips to mooloolaba about an hour run each way.

So my question is has anybody got these oil filled ones are they any better or worse than the bearing buddies and are they worth the $180 exspence.

Cheers pete...

G'day,

In a previous discussion about wheel bearings and bearing buddys somebody made a post about the pros and cons of all types including the oil filled types. He seemed to know what he was talking about. My recollection is that he recommended against it.

I suggest that you search threads on "wheel bearings" and "bearing buddys".
