I have some heavily tarnished and marked SS I need to polish up. Theres no rust stain or hard scale, just well used (minute scratching) and grimey.
I will need something with a cutting agent in it coz its gonna need a good scrub,
so of all the different cleaners available out there...what actually works best??

Yep Autosol is great.

If it is really bad, go at it with some 2000 wet and dry, used with water and a drop of dishwashing liquid and then Autosol.

Cheers,
Myles

Jiff bathroom creme cleanser, and a soft plastic scourer and a little water.
Scrub it on in one direction only and wash off.

I'll be a third for autosol, great stuff, I use it on just about every metal surface that needs polishing.

I do believe that most stainless "special" cleaners are just Muratic acid (the same stuff you clean bricks with) but cannot fully confirm that, there is a dozen cleaners around, I was advised to use one by Septone and it worked a treat.
