Pretty sure Dohles Rocks Boat hire has them, not 100% sure but have seen them outside their shop. Give them a call.

Hey mate don't know how far you are from Bribie Island, but these guys hire them out.
It's a great place to have a paddle also!

You can also contact the local distributors of various kayaks to arrange a test paddle etc if you like. Rosco canoes may hire some also.

Steve,

Another idea is to come out to the 2009 Wivenhoe Kayak & Canoe Fishing Convention (http://www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au/KayakConvention.htm) on Saturday arvo for the "Show & Shine" at Capt Logan Camp. This will showcase everyone's fishing kayaks in their set-up form. There will also be a number of kayak distributors there with demo models of their kayaks for testing.

Coming to this event will get you up to speed on kayak fishing quite quickly.

Cheers,

Pete

I have hired from Roscoes (they will also give you inflatable roof racks) and Good Time at the Gabba (need your own roof racks).
