Would anyone not suggest getting an aluminium Trailer. Duralum or Transtyle?

Am thing about getting an alumium trailer for my 7.5m plate boat. Am thinking about a duralum or a transtyle. Anyone had any problems with their alumium trailers, cracking or electrolosis between metals?

a properly made and designed trailer will be fine made out of almost anything.

Whoever builds it make sure they reinforce all joins and returns, a friend of mine used to build them in NZ and he built his here and it carries a 7.4 metre lazercraft. definately cuts the weight down bigtime. There are cheap ally trailers out there that i would stay away from unless you get it reinforced. Pm me if you like and i can put you in contact with him if you are in Brisbane. cheers Lee
