Need advice on the best rod holders to put on the side rails of my Quintrex Bay Hunter. You can never have enough rod holders. Mojo

I've got a set of Scotty's Strikers....can't fault them.

Also have a look at the Atwood Pro-series - can get them at various stores but I got mine at BC F.....they are a little more expensive but are very solid and I feel comfortable putting my rod and reel in the holder....don't waste your time and buy anything flimsy.....

I have scotty's on my boat, they are very solid, mine are 6 years old and no probs.

go the emro cannons, they come with either side mount or under gunnell flush mounts and swivel 360deg solid and made of ss...well worth a look ...50 bucks at whitworths www.emro.com.au

I have a set of snap-loc rod holders that I bought from Whitworths and found them to be not very good at all , so I would not recommend them at all{crap!}bought a Scottys and am very happy with them ,strong and well made but the only problem was that you had to purchase an extra mount for the gunnel rail

You could have a look at these mate if you need something that takes a bit of weight you can get them at Whitworths Boating & leisure stores

I use them on my tinnie as outrigger mounts they are good

i have a 40 year odd answer,,,, extremely tuff and versatile,, and even tho the ""body"" of the holder may be a bit worn,,,,,

my arms and hands aren't,,,,,,, let me know when you need me
