New Guinea Spot Tail Bass

Got this one in the Pandi River a couple of weeks ago. 20lb. Took a large Skitter Pop fished over submerged snags. Zillion PE on an Egrell B8-5.

If we had fish like that in freshwater I'm sure most of the saltwater fishos would convert. I fished for them in the Solomons once and got a smallish fish that is still one of my favvorite captures

Thanks for bringing that up Dick. The bruises have almost gone now. It seems that I accidently dropped Pam's fish while washing sand off it before taking a photo. A similar story to her first wild Barra in Darwin at Easter.:-[ :-[
