I stand corrected

There is a vast difference between the wrte-up in the paper and the report Marine Safety Study

The article in the HeraldSun had an illistration that showed no 2 mile area on the ocean
The study only gives this as an option

Plus the Study is a really comprehensive review of all laws relating to boating use in Victoria.

It has some good suggestions.

Well worth the time to read it through and send in appropiate feedback.

Going on the H?S report I thought it might be greenie based.
After reading the Study I am certain that is not true.

Anyhow ,here it is,see what you think.

Hopefully there's a lesson there in how much trust one puts in what one reads in the Herald Sun ;-)

i hope you guy's read the 8m ruling, if it gets past here in Vic, guess what will most likely happen around Australia, it states that all vessels 4.9m up to 8m are only allowed up to 20nm offshore and all vessels 4.8 and under are only allowed in enclosed waterways. this would basically stuff the trailer boaties, submit your submissions !!!!

The discussion on the restriction of operating area based on length are on p9-10 on the first document if you are short on time looking this up. Very serious implications here, possibly for Australia wide down the track.
