HI guys ,
Managed to get on the water during last week and when I returned to the ramp had difficulty raising the motor but after several tries succeded. Before flushing the motor I noticed that one of the mounting brackets was completly broken and in the tilt position there was a gap of about 50mm.When the motor was lowered this gap reduced to about 5mm. I am trying to source a second hand part at this stage but as the motor is a 1983 Johson 35hp may have a problem. A couple of alternaives may be posible "A "Welding or "B" a set of brackets off another motor that may fit.Any helpfull advice would be greatly appreciated.
Replacing the motor with another is not an option I can afford, and the motor runs extremely well.
Will try to ad a couple of pics so you can see the problem.
Cheers CRABBI
