what size motor on a 4.5 boat how would you tell 4.5 sea jay with 4 mm plate bottom

need a bit more info, a 4.5 could get away with a 25, but depending on the weight and the intended use, may need a 60HP

There should be a compliance plate on the boat - somewhere near the transom end. It should state the max hp for the hull.

Failing that, give Seajay a call/e-mail or have a look on their website to find the same or similar model hull, they have specs there and they always include a recommended and max hp.
