couple of fish off the goldcoast

took my mate devon and my cuz for a fish down the goldie,went out to the 24's got out there about 6.30 first drop seen us get a few trevally and a nice flattie going 43cm and the next hour or so all we could get was a few squire to 33cm and a few more travally..then we found a good patch of trag with us getting 3 or 4 a drift,then the boats moved in around us and they went real quiet only gettin a tuskie in the next hour,so with 10 trag a flattie and a tuskie in the box we went out to the 36's got out there and found a good show but all we managed to get there was squire to 30 cm so we headed home..had a great day out with a few fish as well even seen a whale puttin on a show for the whale chater boat down there...used flesh baits..prob caught close to 50 fish all up today, alot of throw backs

Sounds like you had some fun anyway. Most of the weekend reports (websites & papers) talked about the 36's for some good snapper and the 24's for trag. Good to have a real report.
