tld 30 2sp year of release

Gday all,
Would anyone out there remember what year the Tld 2 speeds were released in oz.
I feel they were released around 1990 ish when the old Beastmaster was discontinued and the Tiagras introduced.Was looking in a old 1989 Habourds (Ian Millers old place of employment) catalog and the Tiagras were just released and the beasties were still on shelves.
Left an enquiry with Shimano and they think 1996 but thats not right as i know i had mine (no. 1741) in 1993 as i left it in Tassie when i was working in outback Qld.(silly man).

You're on the money with 1990/91.

A lot of the different manufacturers don't know or don't care when products were made, discontinued etc. I'm a collector of various fishing gear and have never had an accurate reply from a manufacturer.

Cheers 2ML thats what i thought.1996 was along way off the mark.
Shame the manufacter/importer dosn't know their product esp a classic like the Tld range.:-/
