yanaha/ seafarer info

mate has brought a seafarer 17 ft runabout with a 115 1996 Yamaha 2 stroke
it has a 19" 4 blade alloy solas prop and only revs 4700 motor looks right height does anyone know what it should rev to

Try a 17' prop and get a compression check mate . You could also ring solas props about appropriate wheels ,theyre on the ball, lookin for 5600 rpm

WOT range is 4500 - 5500 for that motor, so while in spec its on the low side and may be over proped especially when heavily laden. As siegfried says try a 17 or maybe the standard 19in three blade.
