Gday all,
I am currently restoring my old mans(recently deceased) 13 ft Sportex surf rod, which he used to fish with a 6 1/2 inch deep spool timber Alvey in the late 60,s and early seventies.
It is need of a few new runners which are wire frame, red plastic(i think)outer and white porcelain inner. I need the large stripper and tip runners as I would like to keep it original if possible.
If anyone can help me regarding a source of these old guides I would greatly appreciate it, I keep my eye on E bay but have had no luck, I am hoping that someone may have a few old broken rods or similar that I could salvage them from.
