dirty water river bass

just a question to all you bass anglers out there can you catch river bass in chocolate brown water (flood runoff)?

I've caught wildies in some pretty brown water. Probably the greater problem is fishing in high flow water, ie if a river is in flood fishing from a canoe becomes difficult and dangerous. Just a reminder aswell the it is currently the closed season for wild bass.
