8-) With the new boat now run in & the sounder now fitted the decision was made to hit hutchies b4 sun up on sat . on board today was Hobit , Macca & myself. With a nice patch of fish found the drift was started & almost instantly we had three hits, one bitten off, one plastic bitten in half and the other taking off like a missile. Within seconds Hobit calls to chase this fish as he now has very little line left. Well for the next 45 mins and a couple of anxous moments like nearly losing the fish to another boats anchor rope:o We are pulling in this awesome gt which had been sharked, a very sad end for such a great fish.
Beleive this: REEL diawa sol 4000 :LINE 15kg braid : ROD g loomis 5- 10 kg :Jig head 1 oz: GT as you see it 30kg , 1.280mt long Angler stuffed.
Cheers MM;D

It's a shame but like all sharks they'll eat ya red emporer but won't touch a trigger fish or iodine bream .
Nice rig

Must have been a decent shark did you get a look at the culprit?

nah mate, the gt was close to the boat then he screamed off probably 50m, we assume running from the shark, and then he was a dead weight to wind in
