This was supposed to be released at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show. Has anyone come across one as yet or have details of the specs on it? All I know is that it is a 3 banger and is supposed to be lighter then the old model (has to be to compete with the Yammie). The Haines web site has SFA about it but I am looking for a 60 for th enew boat and wanted to consider this one.

Haven't seen or heard much about the new Suzuki DF60, but i did get an newsletter from Honda last week, that they are releasing a new BF60 outboard in the next couple of months, maybe worth looking at.

the new honda 60 is one very nice looking motor8-) i saw some pics of it on the net somwhere looks very sleek. If the new suzuki 60 is anything like the new 70,80,90 it will be a great motor too.

will be interesting to see the weight of the suzuki 60. the yam 60 was 108kg from memory in efi. I had one on my 480 topender, great outboard id have another one anyday.

There is a short review of Honda in the F&B this month, sounds good, but I prefer to have the option of NMEA conection which, too the best of my knowledge, none of the other Honda's have and I would be surprised if this one does.

the new honda BF60 does appear to have NMEA 2000 after looking at the info from the honda site.

I just looked at that link white pointer, that must be the old 60hp, it weights 162kg!!!! wow. it is strange they haven't released the new DF60 details on the website yet. i'm guessing it will be named DF60A like the rest of the new 70/80/90A range that was released earlier this year.

162KG for a 60HP, Jesus, it needs to be put on a serious diet!

I was speaking to the haines boys at the show, the new 60hp will be around 106kg so lighter then the yamaha. Should be a good thing by the sounds of it. The new 70 / 80 / 90 are pretty good motors and light.

Crikey, as if Yamaha's excellent 109kg F60 wasnt light enough, Suzuki's DF60 comes in at an amazing 106kg. Just amazing that 4 strokes can get so light. I am guessing that that Suzuki have gone for about 1000cc (just over 996cc anyway) and a 3 cyclinder design ?

Seriously, the 60hp class is just about the peak of 4 stroke power to weight design IMO
