I thought they were both graphite composite rods but the flame wrap was a new type of process they did after a bit of experimenting.

Dang nabit...where's that number??

Just have a gander in the yellow pages then.
If you cannot find it ring Alvey at Carol Park (3271 2844) and ask them. ATS is across the road.

Flame wraps were not a new process they were simply a new look. Flame wraps are in fact just an E-glass material with a red dye in the resin. They do have a very small amount of carbon in their make up but trust me, they are nothing special. The price of the blanks is a joke for what is in reality a very very cheap material. Adrian would have you believe the blanks come from alien technology in design terms but unfortunately the blanks are just another blank with a different colour. In fact Steve Morris come up with the name flame wrap as to with the design of these blanks around 10 or more years ago. Having said that they are still an ok blank but the price is ridiculous and was put in place to have you the punter believe the blanks are some super duper design.
