I have been looking at MK's, was offered an MG today with the following:

* 55lb Saltwater Wireless hand held fob
* wireless foot pedal
* quick release bracket
* long shaft
* sacraficial anode

all for $1300, is this a good deal? It is cheaper than any MK I have looked with the wireless setup. Any other deals out there?

Thanks, Ratbag

If you could get a cheaper one with those extras it's very cheap. I think it's a good buy at that price now.

Yes, It is a good deal with the AUD the way it is, just remember that Wireless eats the batteries.

thanks, the battery eating will be fine as I can fit an extra large glass mat or gel to cover a days fishing.

A mate is onto his 3rd steering gearbox with the same MG - luckily it's under warranty.

Dunno if that's an isolated case or not.....

Is this motor new??
New its quite good buying, second hand with no saltwater use is still good buying. With saltwater use its a bit high.

Hey Rat,

I live down here in Victoria, whos the deal from, might try and get one. :P Send me a PM if its a price that can be passed on...

Also in regards to Dicko's comment... This is the first I have heard of a MG needing somthing that major... MG is quite good with quality controll and are also very good with warrenty. I wouldent be worried buying another MG as I know this.
