My trailer came with a spare wheel but it wasn't attached to the trailer.

I'm looking for a cheap spare wheel bracket I can attach the winch post to hold the spare.

Checked local auto shops but no successful. Googling didn't show up much either so apart from Whitworths where can I get one?

Cheers

Thanks DONTdoIT.

Its the same one as Whitworths for the same price. This will probably be my fall back option but was hoping for something a little cheaper..and besides its for holden bearings - which I am not sure if I have?????

i work in metal fabrication and to make one of them from scratch is just insane when you can buy it for $50 ;) just isnt worth the hassle.

if no luck finding one to suit i would just buy that one and buy the right shaft to suit ya bearings. then cut and reweld the right shaft on and Gal Bar it back up woot woot.

you would think there be more than Holden compatible types out there somewhere ::)

Due to the size of the brackets available (too small for the winch post ubolts) I simply got a peice of threaded rod and bent it like a u bolt and fitted the tyre horizontally between the post and boat and through the wheel nut holes. Two large washers and nuts to suit Cut the rod when all attached a bit aboue the nut, drill a small hole in the rod for a split pin and coat of kill rust and for a couple of bucks it has not moved in years.

If you are going to be doing long runs or offroad runs with the trailer it is a good idea to have a complete hub with bearings and everything ready to go in case you blow a bearing or seal on a trip. Saved me a lot of hassles twice now in the moddle of nowhere. Amazing how a stuffed seal can pick up water and dirt and ruin a bearing quick smart. First one was damaged by a piece of wire i drove over and caught up in the wheel and wrapped around the axle and rooted the seal. God knows where i picked the wire up from.
