After two years of trying to stop our trailer brakes overheating since we brought the boat our problems are finally fixed. We have had numerous experts look at our brakes and numerous methods tried to fix them. Took the trailer down to united brake and clutch at Cooperoo. It took him a while to work out what the problem was but he discover that the bunny ears that the calipers bolt to were not welded on straight. Therefore when the brakes got to working temperature the pistons in the calipers would get stuck and hold the pads to the disc. Axles were removed and sent to Alko where they re welded on the bunny ears. The brakes are now working perfectly.
