can anyone report on the conditions off Coffs Harbour after all the rain. I am heading up on Anzac Day for a few days and although i've never fished out of Coffs i thought I'd drag my boat up if the reports were good. I usually hit Wooli, but i am told by my wife and kids that Wooli is boring. any GPS marks for bait would also be appreciated - no secret spots, just something to try so i don't spend half the day chasing bait.

btw. we fished Wooli two weeks ago and the current killed us. 40m of water, 20oz leads and still struggled to hold bottom, floating for reds was definately out (although if I had enough line I could have fished south solitary while acnhored at North Solitary). 2 trag and an 18kg jew was all we had to show for our efforts.

i take it that Pete has sent you the mark for wide bait ground and Park Beach bommie.

Plenty of current still though not as severe as you had in Wooli.

Send Pm if you require any more info.

Hi guys, just come back today from fishing over at Coffs with mates, keen to take my boat over in a couple of weeks, it would be appreciated if I could get the mark for those live bait grounds too please.

I will only be in a 4.5m tinny (weather permitting of course) so dont want to stuff around too long in the big wide blue. I have a rough idea after my last couple of trips, just need some help pinpointing please.

Any other fishing Coffs (in small tinny) all gratefull taken. Have only fished around the island with the lighthouse on all my trips.

Thanks very much.

hi, would you guys mind if i too could have the info about Coffs? I'm heading up there from Newcastle on 15th Feb 2010 for the week, bringing my 4.7 trailcraft Profish along too. Hoping to get out and catch a few. Information on some grounds would be much appreciated.

Heading down there myself this weekend without the boat. Any reports from the southern harbour wall / headland?

Southwall and headland has been fishing quite well , but lots of other headlands around including Sawtell. Usual species, with the occassional oversize.

The weather at the moment is wet and the prospect for the weekend not much better, bring some wet weather gear.

Lots of specialist fish the headland and a talk to one of the two locals who fish it on a daily basis would save you heaps of time and effort. Don't forget Muttonbird on the north wall as well.
