headed down south with matto to bag a few fish on plastics and ended up with a few red throats , squire and Aj's. Bar was a bit scary on the run out tide coming back in but all was good. Spangled emeperor went 7.5kg and 80cm taken on certate hyper 3500 on a loomis pro blue with 20lb. Matto lost a few bigger fish due to light gear and no cooperation from the fish.

That's a very good spangly, well done. Up here I have found the skin can be a bit tough on the larger specimens (if you opt to scale rather than skin), but it may just be the fish in this region. Flesh certainly tastes good.

That is a top spangle. I Didn't know they grew to that size. The water certainly doesn't look inviting in the background. Good to hear you got back over the bar without incident too.
Cheers
