Think it could be a savage of some vintage?http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/mhtml:{80EDE58B-5305-4C15-B1E1-AF957A003B70}mid://00000042/!x-usc:cid:{3CD20E24-C481-4AB2-9A77-EB86E91D8001}/mario 010.jpg

well i dont think it is an old Savage... the windows and topsides just dont strike that familiar thing with me as an old Victorian. JUst dont know... but I dont really fancy Savage...could be persuaded on the hull but from the deck up it doesnt look familiar at all.

I'm thinking it might be an old early to mid 70's seafarer looking at the bow. Any more photos?

not really any good ones. i only say savage because thats what the owner thinks it is. it was originally an inboard, now has an aluminium pod and 200 suzuki. not sure if it has a square bow all i have seen is these pics, its a couple of hours away from me. motor only has 40 hrs. any guesses on what its worth?

I agree the topsides do look like the top has been added.

If the fore deck is sort of squared off making a bigger area to work tackle and also making for a dyer boat it could be an old Swiftcraft. Hard to see in the photo!

But it also does have the look of an old Seafarer Vagabond with a modified top. If it was a Seafarer there may be some code on the stern on the starboard side.

Sorry not much help to you; just guessing from here. Be nice to find out what it is eventually tho.

Cheers

Has a Pongrass look to it shape wise.....but not sure if they made one that big....I would agree its not likely a Savage. There should be a plate somewhere with a HIN on it.....I think this is law...even if it is an old boat....maybe you can track it back from there. Topside definately look custom....just to confuse the issue.

Good luck with the ID.

yep agree the topsides look custom. the boat is 22ft for interests sake. might call the owner and try to find a serial number or some sort of identifying mark. asking price is $22000. motor is 07 i think.

i personaly would think that the asking price is pretty fair as the motor is nearly worth that much but check the boat over well and make sure the trailer is rated to carry it or those things can turn it into a costly exercise.check for rot in floors etc
