Paddy is 81 and got this barracuda today. Would have been around 20kg. Started out bottom bashing but it took it out of the old boys winding up all the time in 56m. Went back in and trolled liveys mid morning to give them a break.

A trout on the rigger - sounds like you should have been fishing in the southern lakes ;D . Well done nice fish - as usual.

The main depths I run my downrigger bomb are 30', 50' and 70' depending on what I am doing and where I am. It was 50' when he jumped on. He has either been up hunting mid water or he has come a long way off the bottom to hit the livey where I was.
Coral Trout and the Sunshine Coast = 3 places to me. Not rocket science. Wasn't the Gneerings and wasn't Arkwright so was probably the most obvious place for them. Surprised it has taken 18months to get one though. Pretty sure a customer has been smoked by one on SPs. Think I have also missed some Sweeties and Snapper on livies while trolling as well with baits coming back with chewed out guts or sides.
