Hi people,
Can anyone tell me the difference between the transoms of either boat. Reason being i can pick up a aluminium pod for bugger all off a 7.73 to go on my 233 formula. Now i havent seen the pod but if the transoms are close i will drive the 300kms for a look.
Cheers
in advance

have a look at this post http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/showpost.php?p=745149&postcount=13

A guy makes these pods in the Jacobs well area between Brissy and the Gold Coast

PM me if you want to know the cost.

Thanks spaniard_king,
I have been keepin this in mind, I was more after actual differences in the hull shape between the 2. A mate of a mate has a aluminium pod off a 7.73 that had twin 250's on it and would like to know if it would bolt on to the 233.

I am not 100% sure whitey, but I would think that if your 233 was a flat transom model (an outboard model) and not the transom with the angled box shape covering most of it (the sterndrive models), then it would probably bolt on without too many dramas.
heres one a mate built for their old 773 a few years ago (sold now).

whitey,
does the pod for the 773 go al the way down to the running surface of the hull (follow shape of 'V' etc..) or is it similar to the one pictured above?
I know for a fact that a 233 doesn't ahve a planning plank.
Is/was your 233 an outboard or sterndrive model?

Details are sterndrive model with twins.

Not sure whether it goes full depth. Definately no planing strake on a 233, my 560f has one and the hull is nothing close.

The pod is not on a boat, my boat and pod 600kms apart although only a few hundred from home to the pod. It is only a few hundred bucks and apparantley VGC, i think im going for a drive

Cheers for the input
