G"Day All,

The first cold snap knocked on the door in our neck of the woods a couple of days ago, and has knocked the fishing. We fished hard from 6am on the day she blew in, and our first decent perch, or any perch as a mater of fact didn't come to the net untill 2pm when the water temp. climbed. We were using both bait and lures and methods that have usually seen on average about 6 decent fish caught and released per trip. :-/

How long do you think we have untill the "Big Shut down?" Is their usually a month that signalls the end of picking off the big yella's consistantly in NSW impoundments?
(Attached some photos of what this summer has produced thus far in our local impoundment)

Cheers, Pod

G"Day Mike, they are from Lake Burrendong near Wellington in central NSW. Caught them casting, trolling and bobbing. The last photo is at Lake Windemere near Mudgee NSW. Great Y.B fisheries. Have seen pictures of them up to 17lb, and heard legends of them geting to 22lb!
