Hey all,
I have a BlueFin Outlaw 4.0m with a 30 yammie. There is a white pvc?? sheet of approximately 3 - 4mm thick between the outside of the transom and the motor. It is around 300 - 400mm square and I assume this is to isolate the earth between motor and hull.
This sheet is not adhered to the hull and when underway water forces in the gap between flexing the sheet away from the hull in a parachute fashion. I was just wondering as to whether you think this might cause a problem with the back of the boat occasionally 'digging' its bum in or why the rear of the boat seems to 'slip' out in certain conditions??
Would I be right in saying that it is better to 'glue' the pvc to the hull and just eliminate the effect.
Any ideas/thoughts appreciated....
Cheers
Shane
