OK Then if it has an outboard fitted the FCU (Forward Control Unit) will contain the engine control wiring and possibly an accessory outlet for dashboard monitoring equipment i.e. gauges etc. A diagram for that should be available in any reputable engine repair manual that relates to your model engine. If you have a merc/mariner I may be able to help you, however, you will need to know the details of the engine model etc.
If you have an inboard powered vessel then I would think that the wiring would be custom built to suit the engine and other equipment fitted when the thing was fitted out. In this case you would have to map the wiring youself as you identify it or seek an auto electrician to do it for you. There are some auto lec's that specialise in marine work. Hope this helps.

I used to use autocad for electrical diagrams, but too expensive for home use. Also used electronics programs such as protel (altium) and orcad, but once again they are very specialised programs that cost a motza.

I think the cheapest way you could do it is to find yourself a copy of microsoft visio. Its not the best to use but will certainly do what you want. Alternativly there is some programs written by the linux community that are free and will work on windows. Not quite a commercial app but they should do.

BBoy72, Visio is probably your best bet if you are familiar with MS products. I have sent you a PM.
