With such fantastic weather over the weekend, I took the oppurtunity to take the family out for a reef trip. Saturday morning we headed out to the Rock Cod Shoals.
My 8 year old pulled a nice lipper followed up by his first trout!!! They can't wait for the next trip. It was a great buzz to see the look on his face when the trout hit the floor.

Nice one Murray!!!...congrats to your son for his first trout!!!...showing Dad how its done :D...well decent feed mate...what was the bait???...its great getting the family out on the water isnt it...our next trip is going to be an overnighter at Fitzroy...pull up in the lagoon...go for a swim...aaaahhhh loverly :D

nice catch murray, im 23 and caught a list of fish but still havent got a trout yet:(
more offshore trips will make that possible one day.

bet you where happy to see it too!!!

I know the feeling, I put in quite a few trips more than the boy has, before I scored a decent Trout.
