After several failed attempts , numerous dropped fish and weather cancelled trips, last Fridays mission off the Sunshine Coast delivered the goods !!

A slow trolled dead Gar on a Chin-guard rig attached to a 7/0 7766 Mustad wired back to a 2/0 treble stinger did the damage. The first run was a cracker and new that this was a bigger fish than the toothpick size Macks that have been around lately.

Only the one hit for a 4 hour troll around the Gneerings, but it only takes one good fish to make a trip a success !!

My deckie and I were stoked, first time Lill had picked up a Gaff and she delivered the goods like an expert, nice shot behind the head !!

Weighed in at the local Bait shop at 15kg's 8-) 8-)

Best fish buy a mile to hit the deck of my boat.

Regards

Thanks for your comments.

Horse, Stinger is rigged on 120 lb single strand.
See pic, stinger is lodged under the gills of target species.
