After all the posts that have gone on about engine heights, it seems a lot of engines sit too low in the water, mine was one of them too....... if there is anyone enterprising enough, there maybe a business opportunity to offer a service at boat ramps taking your boat for a blast and changing hole heights...at the ramp....done deal there and then. Maybe a new franchise in the making.............. ? well maybe not in the current economic climate !!

Hi Garry

Moving motors up or down isnt too difficult.

With a mate to help and spanners and several blocks of wood to place under the motor and with the trailer off the car there is plenty of adjustment with the the jockey wheel to move the boat transom to line it up so the motor ends up 1 2 or 3 holes higher or lower as you want it. Make sure you chock both the trailer wheels though to avoid unplanned moves by the boat!.

A block and tackle hung off the carport works well too.

Cheers

Thanks for the hints chimo, my brother gave me a hand to adjust the motor exactly the way you described it, luckily we lifted it up two holes and it seems to be in the right spot. Makes a big difference.
