Weather gave a window so we took it leaving the harbour at 1.15 am in beautiful conditions heading out to some rubble some 55 km out ..........with a mate in folloing we arrived and set up for a drift 3 drifts later nothing .... So off to the next spot and anchor up over a show by this time it's 4 30 am and nothing to show for it . Mate is buggared so he goes to sleep till dawn while i managed two hussars.
After dawn i managed 2 nice sized Small Mouths that went into the esky followed by some lippers and a black king.
Around 9 30 the brother in law turns up and we manages a couple more hussars and lippers. We then decided to move to another spot some 10 km away and settle in for a anchor with the SE incresing steady to a good 15 knots we picked up some good sized Venus tusks and some more pink hussars .......... The fishing was slow with moderate catches of undersized reds and trigger fish so we pulled the pin and headed for home a great trip but we were well entruly buggared.

;D I see your boat in the car park Scotty were you sleeping mate;D

Hey JT.
I tried up at the ferns after seeing you down at Adrians shop on Friday night, wind never let up much and the fish were very scarce. Got a couple of nice red throat but the rest were just Hussar and some big Slatey,s. Pulled up the pick about1.30 am and headed back. Not much of night but I guess I,ll get em next time. Saw alot of boats heading out at about 3am but havn,t heard much about what got caught Saturday.

Darren.

Hey JT

We were going to blood the boat on Saturday so Snappy and I got down the harbour about 8:30 and slept in our boats in the carpark until the boys arrived
when we did finally go about 2
I had an alarm coming on and off and the oil was right, the temp was good so I cleaned all the filters and started again about half a dozen times before I turned around tail between my legs and went home
the boys continued and got some big reds at 80k then sweeties and trout at the shoals
A little bit sh,ted I flushed the motor and called the right bloke
Spanniad King sorted my problem by phone in 30 seconds flat
I did what he said and the motor is like new again (Thanks Garry)

JT it looks like you and my other mates got my share so, good on ya mate
at least you managed to keep up the standard

Cheers
Scotty
