Just spend the last 10 days at Noosa enjoying the river and offshore fishing. Managed a total of 9 spanish, 1 YFT and 2 barracuda. Fishing was hot some days and dead the next. Set myself the goal of landing a 20kg spanish, and it wasn't until the last day (Monday) I secured my trophy. All fish caught on trolled dead baits.

No spots caught or seen. They just didn't show up, but then again i didn't go chasing them either.

Earlier in the day we kept saying to each other, close or wide, close or wide? I'm glad we went in close!

His first run felt like a cobe or tuna and he didn't really hit his straps until aboutthe third or fouth run.

Silent - yes that first jack just seems to elude me. Don't worry, when i do get one, it'll be a horse!

Pistol Pete - awesome work, can't wait to read the report.

Jpython - the 2 baits i use are gar and tailor. Some days they swim like a dream others it's take a long time to ge them right. But i think they outfish livies if used correctly.

Twist - can't stop thinking about fishing since i got back. Has been a little while between posts and have caught some great fish in that time. Might have to put a post up on my summer fish, but i couldn't resist this one.
