curently i am converting this hull into a center consol and was going to pod...3/4 size positive flotation...only as long as it needs be so under 600mm long...has anyone on here podded a v17 befor ? how did it go...have seen a few around so i am assuming its not too bad.

Good luck with your project. I was thinking of doing this myself. don't know if podding a v17 will ruin its performance. have heard of guys podding the v19

they do sit low in the ass so i would be looking for the max flotation, i guess the width is the key?

I agree that the extra width is the key. I reckon a full width and full depth pod is the go. Basically you are extending the waterline length by 600mm. Turns your 17 footer into a 19 footer.
