Hey all,
Looking at going to soak a worm or 2 on Saturday afternoon with the family. I haven't done any freshwater fishing in 25 odd years. Probably heading out to around Canungra, Tamborine area. Are any of the creeks around that area worth a try?? If so, what could I expect??
I only need a license permit if fishing dams is that right??
Any help and tips would be greatly appreciated. I am not much of a lure chucker so will mostly be using baits.

Cheers

Shane

Shane,

you don't need a license unless you go to a stocked impoundment (dam).

There is a creek out that way, try Sharp Park, I am interested to hear how you go.

Hey mate,
Went and had a look at that park. Looks a nice place to pitch the tent for a few days. Didn't even try there though because there were just too many people sitting, swimming and generally having a good time getting out of the heat. Eventually tried a couple of spots in Canungra creek though. Brother and I dropped 1 fish a piece. Mine I think might have been a bass but not too sure. Ended up with 7 or 8 turtles. Did see a platypus in the wild though and that was awesome.
