Gday Viewers I've got my mitts on some green burl cork and want to know what is the best glue for cork? I was thinking perhaps Contact.

i have used contact to bond cork rings made from the cork sanding blocks from bunnings, dunno if i would use the cork again but had no issues with the glue.

G'day Dave,
I use Selley's Quick Grip. I ream each ring out to fit a mandrel then glue each side (except the ends). When it's touch dry, push them all together really hard. I also put mine in a home made clamp for 12 hours for that really tight seal. The whole handle then turns down to perfection with just a series of rough to smooth grade sandpapers. I haven't had one come apart yet (touch wood).

Cheers Mark,,,,, this rod has been a long time in the pipeline due to sourcing parts and my procrastination think it's coming up to 12 months now. It will all be worth it in the end,,,just got to pull my finger out and get some winding checks anodised green so i can start the build.
Should only be a few more months ;)
Dave
