I just heard the sad news on 4TTT (Townsville) 103.9 of the sudden passing of North Queensland fishing icon, and co-host of their Fishing Show, Arthur Dobe on the weekend.
I only knew Arthur & his wife Joy on a casual basis through the Fishing Show,but I know Arthur was a long-time member of The Townsville Sportfishing Club and I believe he has been a driving force behind their Fishing & Outdoor Expo here in Townsville.
Others would be better qualified to comment on Arthur's contribution to the cause of rec fishing in general.
Deepest condolences to Joy - we are thinking of you at this sad time - and "tight lines Arthur"

thats no good at all, i listen to the show too if not busy. he had alot to do with the fishing & outdoor expo, i will also say "tight lines to arthur".
