fish saturday morning off noosa early and picked up 3 straight off the bat trolling, it soon slowed so we tried another spot wider and were not able to pick up another fish, saw and heard some caught but wasnt for us, we made the run back to where we began and withing minutes of setting the rods we had another from a big bait.

it soon saw another 2 fish in the box for a great day we went to give it another crack in the avro with absolutely shit conditions 30plus knots from the noreast, but managed 1 fish from 2 strikes after 40mins we headed in.

at the end of that day the results saw 7 fish from 15 strikes.

with great results from the day before sunday morning had the plans to return to the same destination, and with in minutes off dropping lines we had a quad hookup and from that landed 2 as the wind picked up the trolling begun to get harder with fish hitting baits everwhere but bustoff where the majority of the results, with this the case we changed tactics and were able to land another 6 one being another good spaniard at 9kg on a big bait.

with good fish in the box we headed for home, but on the trip we come across a good bait ball being mauled on the surface, threw some slugs and picked up another 4 and with that said we left and headed back, the day saw 12 fish from 22 strikes, boat was on the trailer at 9.30

awesome weekend cant wait to do it again

cheers justin

thanks for the replys guys

found that the better mackerel when they are there like the rougher conditions.

spiro - havnt seen or spoke to wayne for a few weeks now never saw him over the christmas break

craig - yeah thanks it was just me and the old man and when trolling 7 rods and 5 go off it certainly is a challenge

pete - alot are not making the freezer at the moment, there was shit loads of rats around being a nuicence but they are the best chewin so we kept a few. we stayed in the river saturday night and the guy beside us on a house boat got a heap of fillits he give us a lift to and from the bank in the arvo, we went to the bowls club for tea, its amazing how far a few fresh fillits will go.

cheers justin

Great going Justin.
Were you guys trolling just beyond the backline along the Northshore/Teewah shoreline? Saw a boat there several times over the weekend. Looked similar to yours, but just too far to be sure.
