went for a troll out off pt lookout this morning with outsiderskip to give his new honda 200 a run. The day started of slowly but soon heated up when we scored 2 nice dollies 4 yft's and a couple of snapper bait tuna. Plenty of birds around the group and the water was a nice blue colour.
also ventured out to square patch but not much happening out there.
Pete was once again shown how to skull drag those tuna to the boat. just ask him :-X
thanks

Nah, I think he needs a bigger esky. I have the same happen to my fish after they have been iced down for a while and they are hard to straighten. Nice catch there guys.

Those long pecs make three of those toona look like albacore. Course I could be wrong. If the flesh was palish, then albies, if bright red then 'fin.

I was just wondering, at that age finn and big eye look alot alike, the stripes on one of those fish look to be broken up like a Big eye. They tast a little diferent as well. Its about this time of year those little Big eyes come through our part of the world from down south. Their prity little fish.

I agree with Mitch....look at the difference in the pecs........i think two of em are juvy big eyes......just as nice eating and just as hard fighting in the smaller models. And also can be confused with Albies.....though i dont think the pecs are long enough..and albie pecs are more tapered and sicle shaped. Agree with the flesh Differentiation....albies are much whiter flesh....damned nice eating though ...all of em.

Hi Sean
twas only wondering as I got a few Big eyes a few years ago and fed them to a couple of Hoo. There is a story in this months Blue water fishing on juvy Big eye that is quite interesting, it also discribes how to tell the diference between the two. I can't say i cought such a mixed bag for years, nice catch.
