Could anyone tell me the code for telling the age of a 30 hp Mercury.

Hi Zakster,Perhaps if you include the serial number in your thread one of the members may be able to help,or at the very least a brief description of it i.e brownband or blueband on the cowl may narrow it down to a few years.

Yup it be much easier to use the serial numbers.....
Than try and do carbon dating on the rust.

Thanks for the replies. I dont have access to the serial numbers as yet. When i get them i will post them. I thought Mercury might have had a code as johnson does with their INTRODUCE.

Howdy Roughasguts.Merc & Mariners don't rust they are like fine bottles of wine,they get better with age:D .Just ask any owner LOL.
