Hey im just wondering if anyone around Townsville region, or within say 100km's, knows of anyone who is selling a decent 2002 and up model 50 hp yammy.

How does your tohatsu go?
I got a mate that is a marine mechanic at B&M Outboards and another mate who is a marine mechanic at RSM, both offer me great deals but thinkn of going the yammy just for the quietness more than anything. I found that most tohy's ive been in are pretty noisy but then again i wouldnt know how old they are.

Hey Mate, not sure if u have driven one but i have a 2 stroke premix 05 model and its great. Bit Smokey but its very quiet for a 2 stroke and smooth. Not bad on fuel either at about half throttle.

I was tried selling it a while back but couldn't so i just put electric trim on it.

Good motor all round.

Yeah i might give a mate a call and see what the price difference is, i have heard a fair few good things about tohatsu's, main thing been that they are a very basic motor that has cheaper parts compared to yammies.

Will cal around though, thanks for the help fellas.

Cheers,
Chris

Yeah 50 is only 5hp over the max rated hp for my boat.
it is recommended a 35hp motor but has a 25hp on it at the moment.
With all me camping gear, crab pots, esky(minus the piss lol) and another person it just hates planing. so thought i might aswell get a motor that is guaranteed get us on the plane with little to no struggle.

But 50 whores, now were talking.
