G'day all,

Here are a couple of pics from a recent pre x-mas family trip to Wistari...

Some lovely weather and a great trip had over the weekend...not a bad haul of fish for our first ever trip to this lovely part of the bunker group.

Best lipper went 53cm (however could have been significantly shorter after being chased to the boat by the big local 14' hammer head)...

Best trout only went 55cm (had some interested spanish mackeral checking out our catches - however, were not interested in any lures or other baits:(

Cheers
Benno and Mrs Benno

Good to see you guys had a good trip i wish those lippers would grow to that size down here. We are getting Hundreds of small ones out at the banks at the moment but none quite making size.
Cheers Gaven

Cheers guys,

Chewy01, yes we have tried live baldies at various depths, but we mainly use them as cut fresh baits, and that seems to always work a treat:)

Wistari is about 80klms or so offshore here from Gladstone...great reef...and a baldy is a baldy bream...or iodine bream...not good eating but great bait :D
