View Full Version : Any 'cabin style' boat newer than '86?

Being looking for another boat bigger than our current 5 mt Cruise Craft.

Plenty of 1980 to '86 age boats like the Seametre 600, that is the style we want but not the age, 23 years old!

Are there any designs out there like the Seametre or Easyrider, with galley and seperate head (toilet) on the side, more of a livable boat than straight fishing only, thats not that old?

Being looking for months now on all the search sites.

Thanks

Jeffrey

V19 Haines?

Thanks to the 3 wise men, lol

Rougha, I have seen the Whitley and do like their sleek lines and a lot do have stoves and sinks under seats. I just searched the Bayliner and the closest to what we want would be something like the Trophy.

Finding Time, that Haines Applause 6.8m does look nice but not enough pictures and at $56,500 a little over budget.

Pounda, we have seen a few Haines but none had any sitting headroom in the cabin. I think the V19 would be the same?

Thanks guys, I'll keep looking, but may go the CruiseCraft.

Thanks for the help, but I have just decided to go for a Cruisecraft 6mt.

Had to make up my mine quickly, well I've been looking for over 5 months!

Now just got to sell the CC 5 mt.

Hi Jeffrey

Not sure how fast you want to go and the exact extent of your budget but if you were not in a tearing hurry and were happy with low fuel costs and a diesel with anything from 50 HP to 125 HP and trailerable then perhaps consider the 22ft range from Steber like this http://boatpoint.ninemsn.com.au/boats-for-sale/boatdetails.aspx?R=6522606 although there are a few around (and a few sold) when you start looking. Theres also a couple of smaller outboard powered ones around too.

Some of the writeups claim they are a better option than the 20 ft Arvor with more space and equipment and storage.

Or buy a Cruisecraft;D

Cheers

PS how about this one trade in the CC

Wow thats a big boat, heaps of cock-pit, BUT I did just buy the CruiseCraft so it's all over now, no more looking.

Thanks Chimo, I will visit one day.

well the cats out of the bag now! the yellow one i have had my eyes on last couple of weeks.

I email the broker via the site but no response. And they are selling my other boat! now i know why its not sold yet! lol.

what hull year are they?

the difference between th e2 seems to be the trailer on the white one is electric brakes? the other one is just a ramp trailer.

not that i could tow either. what would be the towing weight?

Razgo..don't use a broker..adverttise yourself on Boatpoint..sold my previous boat on there in rather quick time..to a bloke in Melbourne...a lot cheaper than a broker and their ridiculous 8% + GST fees.

Hi Pinhead, yeah i did have it on boatpoint but accidentally let the ad lapse. I also have it on trading post and eBay.

I think it's just a tough time to sell overall.

I just have to wait for the right buyer to come along.
