Kye with a nice snapper taken after dark on 1 of the new squidgy 145mm flick baits in the glow colour, these things are a real winner, i just give them a few sec's held up to the LED deck light & they glow very bright & seem to last quite a few minutes.

we attempted to release this fish, it was fairly spent & hooked deep down.
a couple quick piccy's then i cut the hooks off & let the swim bladder down & dragged it back & forth through the water for a few minutes attempting to get it going again, mind you i was very wary as we had lost a couple reasonable fish to sharks earlier that night. I couldn't get it to go again which did put a bit of a dampner on things as Jimmy & all onboard were keen to see it go back, the bigger they are the harder they are to revive.
we did however catch & release a 15lb fish that i tagged back in late november08
which shows we can get them to survive successfully. we hopefully still have 3 other 30lb+ fish swimming around with tags in them released previously & hope to meet up again 10 years down the track when 40lb
cheers
