Hi Team,
I had a mate fall on my Strudwick soft bodz spinning rod and snapped it in half, BUGGER. It has recoil guides and some nice hardware. If I wanted to reuse the parts to build another rod how would I go about it?
My thinking which could be very wrong is.
1. Remove tip with heat gun?
2. Cut off guides with stanley knife?
3. grip and reel seat no idea.?
Can the grip and real seat be salvaged or is it a bin job?
This was a really nice light rod, made while Strudwick were doing some good work. It was 6'6" one piece spinning rod, what would be an excellent fast light weight blank to use? The rod was used for small hard bodies and soft plastics.
All the best for the new year.
Regards
Rob
