Plan B ;D After a couple of whiting popping trips watching how the fish follow and strike I started wondering about soft plastic possibilities ( Also after loosing a $15 popper through bad luck or stupidity It fell out of my hat where I had stuck it for safe keeping )

3" Berkley Mullet with a couple of size 10 Mustad trebles.

I have not had a chance to test these as yet I made them up last night as a prototype..

Some 8 pound line was threaded through the SP with the help of one of Margo's sewing needles the center hook is just looped the end hook tied on.

The plastic bibs should help lift the jig to the surface on a retrieve.

Any suggestions for modifications would be good I will let you know how they go when I get a chance.

Some little plastic bib disc things ::) I have had them in my tackle box for a few years looking for a way to use them.

They are usually a full disc that give a lot more wriggle to SPs at low speed retrieve.

Sorry I have lost the name of them years ago and now I have a use for them I will probably now never find them again :'(

I wonder when the softy manufacturers will come up with a slick rig popper.

these softy frogs are going well, so why not.

some of the fatter softies could be chopped square on the front and rigged on a long shank, a bait holder or a worm hook.

There has to be lost of stuff you can do with softies, other than stick em on a jig head.

I saw a bloke put softies on a fluffy paterosta rig on TV this week.

cheers
