I am still running a 60 litre batch of boat two stroke fuel thru my whipper snipper and chainsaw that's now about 3 yrs old and works as well as new fuel in those machines.

As for how long in the boat it depends on the model of motor you are running. My 15 yr old Evinrude runs perfectly happily on fuel 2 months old yet a mates 12 month old motor has dramas with fuel thats a month old.

as tunerticer said it all depends on the motor. The newer one seem to have a lesser tolerance for poor fuel. When i had a dirt bike i had to drain it after every outing as after a week the bike would be a pig to ride.

But in mowers and alike they for ages on old fuel. I also have put it in my car as long as its not a whole tank full and you mix it with bowser fuel it will be alright.

Do yourself a favour and call Shell, and ask for the technical advice bloke, and he will explain why not to use it afer 45 to 60 days.
