Well its almost been 12 months since the 3 of us got together for a serious fish, and to be able to do it in "Noboatyet"s" new 6.0m Eden Craft was absolutely awesome. It was the first long run for the boat after many weeks of fitting out, including the manufacturing of the hardtop frame work and wiring. The run from the Boyne ramp at 3am Monday morning was absolutely great with relatively flat conditions. We arrived at at our mark at approx 5am and we weren't dissapointed with a couple nice sweetlip and trout the first to hit the deck. The fishing continued relatively steady with a few undersize reds and more sweetlip, a couple more trout and a very nice 13 kg Red. As the run began to inrease the fishing eased, We moved around to several different area's but the fishing didn't pick back up until the run eased again. Another nice Red of 10 kg was landed and a few more sweetlip, hussar and trout. With a nice catch of fish in the esky at 1:30 pm we decided that we would head home while the conditions were still flat. Overall it was an absolute cracker of a day on the water. Thankyou very much "noboatyet" for the oppurtunatey to wet a line in the new boat, I think you may need a new username now however.

Thanks for posting the report Seith, it was a great day. Hopefully we'll get back there real soon.

Astro, It cruises nicely at 35-36 mph. Topped out the other day at 43 mph, thats with 3 of us full of all our gear and 300 lts of fuel. Still only have 20 hours up so well see how it settles in.

Gary, Love the hardtop really glad I went that way. All I have left to do is build the rocket launcher, that will have to wait till after xmas.

Cheers

Mangomick, The Deckwash ensured all fresh blood was quickly cleaned away.

Benno1, Fresh Hussar fillets, Wings, and Heads did a great job, only the odd small shark hassled us.
